CSR: ‘A little goes a long way’
Posted on 29th September 2015
Throughout September, Data2Decisions ran “A little goes a long way”: a month-long campaign to show how a small step can make a big difference to people in our local community and the environment. “A little goes a long way” consisted of three bite-size initiatives that all, at their core, promoted small gestures to make big impacts. Championed by the Data2Decisions CSR team, these three initiatives engaged everyone at The Qube where our London office is located, around waste and what we can do to minimise it.
DAN CAN: We made an important donation of pantry food to the Camden Foodbank, to be redistributed to people in need.
CLEAR-OUT-TO-CURE: Our people contributed hundreds of items of clothing, which were donated to Cancer Research UK to help raise funds for the building of the new Francis Crick Institute in London.
THE WASTE CHASE: Through a simple awareness campaign, we increased the percentage of waste recycled in our office in September to a huge 95%, which we intend to keep up.
Filling tummies, not landfill thanks to Foodcycle Friday
A team from Data2Decisions also volunteered at Foodcycle Friday at the Graveney Canteen in September – again doing their bit in fighting food waste and providing a free lunch for the local community.
